Help a Teacha Out; Recap
Mayor Barbara Lee’s Youth Advisory Council launched planning for “Help a Teacha Out” on July 28th. Within just a week, our flyer was ready to circulate by August 7th, and the community response was overwhelming.
The first donation arrived on August 8th, and by August 23rd we had collected enough supplies to support more than 150 teachers—and the numbers are still growing!
This success would not have been possible without the incredible commitment of our 20+ youth volunteers and council members, whose energy, leadership, and teamwork truly brought this effort to life. It was inspiring to see young people excited and ready to Help A Teacha Out!
