Teachers in Oakland are spending their own money on basic classroom supplies while often juggling class sizes of 30 more students. Meanwhile, students suffer when their teachers don’t have the tools they need. We’re collectively stepping up to bridge this gap because when teachers have what they need, we all succeed. This Youth-led supply drive aims to provide essential classroom materials to OUSD teachers for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. In doing this, a connection is being established between the City of Oakland and OUSD as partners in supporting local teachers. Community solidarity is meeting youth leadership finally! By donating to just 1 piece of supplies you are giving support to a classroom of 20-30 students!
